Our Vision Statement: “To become a community of committed Christians who Love God, Share Christ, and Serve the World”
Our Mission Statement: “People dedicated to Spiritual Growth, Loving Relationship, and Sacrificial Service”
SUNDAY, JULY 31, 2016
9:00 a.m. – Sunday School
10:30 a.m. Worship Service
– Sanctuary: “Rich Toward God”
– Scripture: Luke 12:13-21
Thoughts on the Word: There is an age old question that each one of us has heard and perhaps thought about at some point in our lives. “If you knew for certain that this was your last day on earth, how would you spend it? What would you be doing that perhaps you are not doing now?” This begs yet another question, “what are we waiting for?” The text for this Sunday is a very familiar story that has been used many times as a challenge for a stewardship campaign in church. While it does speak to issue of stewardship it goes much deeper than that in my way of thinking. It challenges us to consider how we spend our lives. The greatest single resource any of has is the gift of time that God has given us. What are we doing with our time for the sake of others and the kingdom of God? Let’s be rich towards God.
