– MESSAGE: “I Have Seen the Lord”
From Pastor Joel:
Holy Week is the high point of the Christian year, and it serves to remind us of both the weakness and the triumph of God. Christ’s journey to the cross and the tomb is one of great despair and cause for sorrow – an apparent defeat of all that Jesus stood for, as the world said “no” to Jesus and his Kingdom. The resurrection, in contrast, is God’s “yes” to the world’s “no” – a vindication of the witness and work of Jesus. It is not merely an escape from death, but a resounding proclamation that Christ’s way will overcome the ways of evil in this world. As we worship together this week and in the many weeks ahead, hold fast to God’s promise of new life in Christ. As surely as Christ is risen, so may his church continue to follow in his footsteps. God’s blessings and courage to you all this season.
