Sunday April 29th is Youth Sunday! Next Sunday we welcome several youth who will be leading us in worship along with Nancy Jones who will be preaching the message. The theme follows that of the Church of the Brethren National Youth Sunday resources, “Bound Together: Clothed in Christ” drawing from Colossians 3:12-15. Please plan to attend and show your support for our young people as they minister among us.
SOULFUL SINGING WILL BEGIN SATURDAY APRIL 28 AT 4:00. PLEASE MEET IN THE CHURCH LOUNGE AND PLAN TO SING JOYOUSLY UNTIL AROUND 5:30. THE GROUP WILL THEN DECIDE WHEN THEY WANT TO MEET AGAIN. ALL ARE WELCOME!!
Friends are invited to a time of Soulful Singing. Shy and strong singers are all welcome to participate in a time of joyful, beautiful, healing music in the oral tradition, led by Ruth Fitz…. No experience necessary! Ruth, a former member of 1st Church, has a ministry of music with the Society of Friends (Quakers), in which she engages participants to sing joyfully and harmoniously together in a variety of genre–spirituals, sacred chants, peace, fun, and world songs.
