THIS SUNDAY: SOULFUL SINGING – Please come and join for a time of Soulful Singing at 4:00 pm in the Lounge. We have fun making soulful music as we joyfully worship our Lord! Shy and strong singers are all welcome to participate as we sing beautiful, joyful, healing music. No experience or special talent is necessary! Ruth is a former member of 1st church and has a ministry of music with the Society of Friends (Quakers). Hope to see you there!

FEBRUARY 27, 2019 – NEW WINDSOR WORK DAY – Work Day at New Windsor is scheduled for Wednesday, February 27. We will assist in the Material Resources program by processing incoming Health Kits, preparing them for shipment. (It is mostly a sit down job.) You are invited to join us. Just be sure to sign the sheet in the narthex to reserve a seat on the bus and to be counted for lunch. We leave the church parking lot at 7:15 a..m. and return by 5:00 p.m. Lunch is provided. I would like to thank pastor Joel for my healing service that I had in York hospital, it was a very powerful experience that helped me through a very tough time. I have had a wonderful outpouring of calls, visits, texts, emails, and cards LOTS of cards! It has been much appreciated. Collective prayer is powerful and has been felt. I know so many of you have been praying and I can’t thank you enough. Keep praying I do have a fast surgery (if there is such a thing) to get through. After surgery my life should get back to normal. ~ David Diehl

MARCH 14, 2018 – OWLS NEWS – The OWLS (Older, Wiser, Loving, Seniors, and friends) will gather in the Homebuilder’s Classroom 154 on Thursday March 14 at noon for lunch, followed by an interesting and informative program about the stars, moon, and sky, presented by Ron Bolton. Bring your bag lunch and a friend. Drinks and dessert will be provided. Please sign up on the sheet in the narthex by March 10 so we know how many to prepare for.

CONTACTING THE PASTOR: Pastor Joel can be reached most mornings in the church office Monday—Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Afternoons and evenings are set aside for visiting those in need, for meetings, and for other pastoral duties. Pastor Joel is also available for Pastoral Counseling by appointment. If you need to reach the pastor outside of office hours, his home phone number is (717) 318-5442, and his cell number is (717) 271-4888 . You can also email him at pastor@yorkfirst.org. By the way, HIPAA laws prevent the hospital from contacting the pastor when you are admitted, so you will need to let hospital staff know that you would like the hospital to contact your pastor.
