DIRECTORY CHANGE, Page 24 ~ Address Change for The SO PA District Office: 6035 York Road, New Oxford, PA 17350 (Please discontinue using the post office box number.)
First Church received this message from former District executive Joe Detrick and that Leonard Stoner, church moderator, thought it should be shared with the congregation:
Hi: Just to let the folks at York First, if you don’t know already, the Rollman’s gave a generous gift to the York Symphony Orchestra for an endowed chair – Chorusmaster position. They were recognized at the concert this past Saturday night. I sing in the Chorus and my wife, Nonie, plays in the orchestra. Kathy Shannon is the current Chorusmaster. A lovely, talented, professional, inspirational Chorusmaster! York First can be proud of the generosity of the Rollmans not only within the church community but also for the wider community of York.
Joe Detrick, former DE for Southern PA, and currently Interim Director of Ministry for the Church of the Brethren.

A SUGGESTION FROM THE SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT TEAM ABOUT HOW TO HAVE A CLOSER RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR LORD
OCTOBER – beautiful colors, cooler weather, earlier evenings, school –Harvest (pumpkin and corn shuck, turnip and potato). All in order and at the proper time. Do we have all things in order? Do we have our Faith Life in order? Have we planted seeds of love, faith, services, peace? Review these scriptures and evaluate how you feel we stand with our harvest of seeds.
Genesis 8:22, Deuteronomy 16:15, Proverbs 10:5, Matthew 10:37, Luke 10:2, 2 Corinthians 9:10-15, Galatians 6:9, James 3:18
Let us work together diligently to reach a rich harvest of Christians to serve the Kingdom of God.

CONTACTING THE PASTOR: Pastor Bob can be reached most mornings in the church office Monday—Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Afternoons and evenings are set aside for visiting those in need, for meetings, and for other pastoral duties. Pastor Bob is also available for Pastoral Counseling by appointment. If you need to reach the pastor outside of office hours, his cell phone number is (717) 818-0653. You can also email him at Pastor@yorkfirst.org. By the way, HIPA laws prevent the hospital from contacting the pastor when you are admitted, so you will need to let hospital staff know that you would like the hospital to contact your pastor.
