PRAYER CHAIN REQUESTS – If you would like to receive prayer chain requests via telephone instead of email, a sign-up sheet will be in the Gathering Room on the small table. If that is not convenient, please call the church office and let our secretary know you would like to be part of the telephone prayer chain. THE PRAYER REQUESTS WILL BE THE SAME FOR EITHER THE EMAIL OR THE TELEPHONE PRAYER CHAIN—THIS JUST OFFERS AN ALTERNATIVE TO USING EMAIL.

With joyful anticipation, we celebrate with the Weyant family the recent arrival of their new baby. If you would like to help in this time of transition by providing a meal, please use the following “Take Them a Meal” link. All meals should be labeled and placed in the church freezer in disposable containers. Please avoid using any nuts or products made in a factory with nuts. Eggs should be used sparingly. Thank you for welcoming this new child into our church family and continuing to support the Weyants in the days and weeks ahead. http://www.takethemameal.com/meals.php?t=RMWF9841

From the Spiritual Enrichment Team:
Peace – a state of calm and quiet (Webster)
Do we know and understand the background of our church stand on peace?
Do we diligently practice peace in our home?
Do we encourage our children to apply this peace in school?
Do we share this peace with friends?
Do we apply this peace in our church? In committee and leadership meetings?
Do we each encourage our children to study the information on Conscientious Objections? Do we assure our children of our support if they choose CO?
Do we have peace in our heart?
The Lord gives strength to his people, the Lord bless his people with peace. Psalms 29:11
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

CONTACTING THE PASTOR: Pastor Joel can be reached most mornings in the church office Monday—Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Afternoons and evenings are set aside for visiting those in need, for meetings, and for other pastoral duties. Pastor Joel is also available for Pastoral Counseling by appointment. If you need to reach the pastor outside of office hours, his home phone number is (717) 318-5442, and his cell number is (717) 271-4888 . You can also email him atpastor@yorkfirst.org. By the way, HIPA laws prevent the hospital from contacting the pastor when you are admitted, so you will need to let hospital staff know that you would like the hospital to contact your pastor.
